Wednesday Evening

After a wonderful dinner, some rest (we did work hard today...shopping takes a lot out of you) , practicing some songs, a game of cards, and planning for the kids Bible school. at one point, I sat and colored for an hour or so with Adrianni and Marianni (2 of the kids that hang around the house). We made a coloring book gallery on the wall behind the table . I even got some of the women helpers to come and color with me. After we colored, I decided it was time to give all the women who helped all week long their gifts. We bought them head scarves of all different colors....they seemed so "Dominican". So I danced my way downstairs, and started wrapping them around their necks. They were so excited.....After they all received their scarves they started to play with them. They wore them everywhere and Yohanne wore them all!!!! lol... For the rest of the time we were resting, we heard laughter coming out of the kitchen. Such simple things brought such joy.....These women are awesome! Their kindness was overwhelming!

It was time to get ready for church.....I heard all this noise outside and there was all this traffic going down the street. I guess it was around 5ish. It must have been rush hour......

I worried so much about how many kids we would have and if we would have enough beanie babies.....Every time we have been here and had to do a bible school, it was packed with children.....

We arrived a little early and there were people sitting in the little building that houses a lot of the church chairs and instruments etc.... they set up for a small service. Then...we found out there was some confusion...we were to do "ADULT" Bible school. Well, we didn't know that.... and we were totally unprepared for that. We explained that we didn't know and were unprepared but we thought we were to do the kids....so.....we pulled tables out in the "STREET" and had children's bible school. We tied in Rev. Jens sermon....we are one in Christ. The kids traced their hands with crayons and we traced our hands over theirs.....they colored them. It seemed to be a successful lesson. After we handed out the beanie babies......GOD IS GOOD....there were enough to go around!!!!!!!

Then a small group from the team went into the Adult Bible school and sang some songs. Everyone clapping. They love it when we sing...we love it when they sing....we love to sing!!!

It was a beautiful evening....the temperature couldn't have been nicer.....one little girl was wearing a hat and jacket.....I guess to them, this was chilly....to us...it was heavenly!!!!

The kids here are special! I love them so much. They touched my heart in a very speical way.
