Tuesday evening

After a hard and HOT days work, we came home and showered....which felt so good. There is no hot water for showers...its all cold.....which feels really good when its really hot.....and humid, but for some reason, it felt cold when it first hit our skin....( I guess thats because it WAS cold). OUR shower didn't have a lot of pressure, so Ed looked at it and the nossels was a mess, so he took off the shower head and we used the shower like a hose. So we HOSED ourselves off....it still felt good once we got use to the water......Soooo after dinner.....we all relaxed a bit....we had church that night...(surprised?) but it wasn't at the church....we didn't know where it was. We all got our church clothes on and waited for "the time".

All the sudden, this little truck pulled up(time to go!!). 3 of us piled into the truck...and off we went....thinking the others were in another car behind us....Me, Ed, and Sarah arrived at a house in a neighborhood Jes and I were all too familiar with. We walked in and we got a rocking chair...(because we are so special) and we waited....and waited... we had no idea what was going on....we just sat and waited.....finally.....the others showed up.....they were setting up the garage area with seating..... We got to keep our rockers....(did I say...because we were special????? hehe).

HOw many guys does it take to change a light bulb? ...note photo.... (2 big ones) too bad the fitting was bad, so we did without..... We sang, prayed and listened to a story.....then Nieves stood up and started talking... Now, understand....I don't speak spanish....so I don't understand what is said anyway. Bob was our translator for services and he was translating...all the sudden, he stopped and Josephina JUMPED in. I thought this was a skit or something....but she had gone into tounges.....but I still didn't realize it until long after the fact. Josephina was translating for the Dominicans and Bob took it from there. It was a healing service. It was interesting. I did notice that Nieves was rolling her tounge a lot....it almost sounded angry. I'm getting use to being around that. It use to scare me...but....I'm starting to understand what its all about now. Its really cool to worship God in different ways. Worshiping with these people is definatly different....but its awesome!
We had a little rain shower......uh oh.....that doesn't sound good for the 6 holes we built.....would they now be 6 pools? It didn't seem too bad of a rain shower....it was just on and off....no big deal....(right..........................) After our home worship, we all piled in cars and went back to our DR home. We sat around chatting about our day, some playing cards, others just "giggling" in the background.....(girls!).... and we heard this loud speaker....and someone preaching......gloria adios...... and it was getting closer and closer...... I took a stroll to the front and what did i see before me....a black truck...with speakers in the bed...not just any speakers......big 6' tall speakers.....and a woman evangalizing.....yep....praising God from a truck, in the street!!!!! The picture doesn't do the moment justice.....It was pretty interesting.....the compitition has arrived. God is everywhere here. I guess its not against the law to worship God anywhere....

WE went to bed and slept hard....another day of "digging" ahead......yep....I haven't seen that backhoe yet......

well, apparently....we had a huge storm in the middle of the night.....I did not hear it....I guess I was THAT tired...... oh boy, I know this isn't good. The heavy dirt will be heavier...MUD.....hmmmm this will be an interesting day...tomarrow......night!
