Sunday Afternnoon

Sunday after going to the Markado, we loaded up the van and headed somewhere. Hmmm scenery unfamiliar. Jes and I kept guessing, but we were both wrong. Up up up the mountain we went....oh the view was to die for.... I was going crazy.....STOP! But I didn't really ask them to stop....I just died inside wishing we would..... but we knew we must be going somewhere special..... we pulled up into this parking lot and realized we were AT THE BEACH. It was so interesting....not like the "beaches" that we know. There was no smell of the ocean...no coconut smell (you know...lotion)...there were NO "red" bodies laying all over the sand, no seagulls hovering. Here was this beautiful blue, with dots of turquoise ocean right in front of us. One section was sectioned off.... as seen here...this is where the kids played. And it wasn't very crowded for a beautiful sunny day.
What a pleasant surprise. The other interesting thing was after walking on some sand, we got to the edge of the ocean and it was rocks. Small rocks, that got into our shoes, under our sandals, and were really "hard" on our feet. (well, at lest they were on mine) And they weren't easy to get off. As soon as you had a shoe full, and rinsed your foot and shoe off, you would take a step and bingo...back to where you were a minute ago. After a while, you just give up...and learn to live with it.
Some waded to a reef on the edge, others walked the edge of the ocean, taking pictures (ahem....who could that be??) some explored and others got BURNT (Rev. Jen). But in her defense, we were caught off guard. But who was complaining? NOT ME! NOT ANYONE!!!

We walked the edges and ran into a little driftwood....ok, little may be exaggerating a bit...but it sure was beautiful. There was time to sit and catch up with old friends and time to sit alone and reflect on the beauty....the gift... from God. How glorious a gift this was. How could you not look out and be so grateful for being a part of this journey. How thankful I am for listening to His call to journey to this part of the world. How it has changed me is beyond explanation. It lies deep within.....

Enjoy the view...enjoy the gift...thou thru a picture, it is still awesome!

oh, and did i forget to tell you.....we did stop on the mountain to see the view...... Now THAT IS a piece of heaven......pure and simple.....

Thanks be to God for all that he created!
