Sunday Night

So after a late lunch/early dinner we went to.... guess.......CHURCH! Tonight was our first night in the STREET. Literally..... They hold services in the evenings because of lot of the people work during the day. Young and old are involved in the services. They have little ones with the adults in the praise team....(hey...don't we?) This boy was practicing.

This night our own Rev. Jen gave the sermon. She did an awesome job. Richard was the translator for our trip for most all of our sermons. Our Bob was our translator for everything else...and then, Jes was our translator for casual conversations. I think we had communication covered!!!

Service was full of energy as it usually is. You just "ROCK" when their praise band plays. Even the kids get totally into it.
It feels neat to worship God in different ways. When the night is over, you are exahausted. Worshiping here takes energy!!! (so we made sure we got plenty of sleep!)

When the service was over, we gathered with more familiar faces. Reconecting.....renewing old friendships.... After a while of fellowhipping, all the sudden, tables came out on the street.....LOW and behold....DINNER! (which i thought we already had) But this was PIZZA! We had pizza in the streets after service. The Pizza is different here (are you surprised?) It was sweeter (wonder if it had anything to do with "sugar cane") with ham. It is very good. AFter filling our bellies...AGAIN, we all piled in the van...with many MANY others and went home. Letting people off on the way. Now think about that. There were 10 of us..... PLUS the driver, Plus the other family members, well, just iagine.....atlest is wasn't as humid as the first trip..... crowded....yes.....
