Saturday

Today....we leave. It is not only sad to begin the ending of this blog, but it was sad when we knew the journey really was ending... We are leaving our family and friends...to go home.... a welcome place, but its still hard. Last night, was really the last time we saw a lot of our friends....today, anyone that is around will say goodbye one last time. We hugged....and hugged.... and hugged....then we all piled in the van....one last time.....and the little pick up truck was piled with our suitcases. I had a hard time eating breakfast this morning...and I knew we would be traveling all day long. We left for the airport about 10:30 maybe earlier....riding the "road" one last time. Seeing the ocean, the houses, the motorbikes, the people.... as we headed towards Santo Domingo airport....one last time.... Salvador...drove the pickup....Nardo drove the van....as we approached the airport...we knew...it is over. We had accomplished so much, but yet, so little....there was much work left to be done. We'll be back...I know we will.....

How do you kill time on an airplane....play cards.....so once again, Ed, Jen and I played our last round of rummy..... and did we get to our destination fast!!!!!....

Our flights were very smooth....all luggage arrived to each destination without any problems....to and from....we had no issues......(Thanks for your prayers!!!!) As we approached BWI, there was a bad storm, so we flew around for about 30-45 min. til it passed. We could see it from the air....
We were exhausted....understandably...but so full of all that God had provided for us during the past week. All the things we learned and shared with our DR family and friends....the emotions...the love... our time....our talents....We shared the gifts that God gave us...to help others. We had truly been blessed during this journey. This journey was made extremely successful by all of the prayers that were sent our way.....It was so evident they were being answered. Thank you for being a part of it....for helping make it what it was....
Thank You
Le Bendiga
Terri
who are we?....coming next.....its not over til its over........
