Friday on the Way Home from the Batays....

sorry for the delay...Internet was down for 3 days....

On the way back from the Batays, we came back to the church we helped build a few years ago. It was a full blown church. (and literally right up the street from the one we're building now). I don't know how that will work out, but, Flor (the pastor for this church) is taking services to the Batays once a week (the ones you just read about). God will guide you in amazing ways.....that will work out well!!!!! We were amazed at how "used" it looked so quickly....Well used...which is a good thing. Jes and I had seen this before, but it wasn't used yet, now...its a home for some. Good things happen behind these walls.....

It was pretty neat to see the kids as well. I wondered, how many did i see in the past few years. Do I recognize them? NO....darn...they change so fast at these ages. Who knows if I have pictures of all these kids from the past. They were excited to see us...as we were to see them....Here felt like a happy place.....

Across the street, where the "boys club" was, was no more! I'm not sure what it was used for, but there was laundry hanging out....perhaps a home? We did a lot of hanging around at this place...as did the local men....(hence...boys club) Lots of hard work went on right there....on this land....I guess we'll be saying that about this new church too! Lots of sweat...no blood, no tears....(thanks for your prays!!!!)

After enjoying the site of what is now from what we knew back then, we had a long night ahead of us. This was our last night.....and if things stay the way they've been in the past...it was going to be a wonderful....wonderful night. I couldn't wait, but then, it meant...the end of this journey....it was an emotional thought.....it tears me up just thinking about it. I will miss this place....I will miss my friends...my DR family. I have felt more connected this trip from the past trips....I can't wait to come again....soon I hope....soon.....
